The other has two good legs and only one working eye!

Jennie is recovering from knee surgery, and Ted was stung by two bees last night.  One got his eye!

All of the children at Shepherd's Field touched me deeply.

But, there was one particular little girl who absolutely stole my heart.

Maggie has a complex heart condition and needs to be adopted outside of Ch*na to receive more surgery. 

Please pray for God to clear the way for this little one to find her forever family and come home soon.

Home from China

Is China calling you?

Those are the words written on a T-shirt I bought for Kevin and me.  Is China calling you? 

To adopt?

To serve?

To give generously to orphaned children living there?

Our team spent the last ten days in China serving at Shepherd's Field Children's Village in Tianjin, China.

That is where our Philip lived for the first three years of his life.  (Ted and I were there on his 4th Gotcha Day - an added bonus!)

It is an amazing place, full of people who love the children who live there.

Our team was blown away by the feelings they developed for the children of the foster village.

We went to serve the children,

But somehow, somewhere along the way,

We were the ones who were served,

Who were touched,

Who were changed forever . . .

Isn't that just like our awesome God?

These four treasures came home at the same time four years ago!

Below is a picture of our China Team, ready and eager to go serve for a

week at Shepherd's Field Children's Village.  Shepherd's Field was Philip's

China home.  This will be Ted's first time to visit China, and he is

looking forward to staying where his little brother was so loved and well

cared for.  I am looking forward to serving at Shepherd's Field with Ted and

the rest of our awesome team.

Since Ted and I are going to be in China on Father's Day, we celebrated Kevin's day early.  The following pictures are of the children "helping" Kevin open his presents.

Kevin - you are a wonderful husband and father.  We love you dearly.  Thank you for

all you do for your family.  We are blessed to have you in our lives!

Then, last but not least, Sophia and Philip played their first game of

summer kickball and had a blast!
